Talk show host Oprah Winfrey was in India last week to film her new series
Oprah’s Next Chapter and had quite the whirlwind trip: she was feted by
Bollywood celebrities at a party thrown in her honor in Mumbai, visited
the slums in Colaba, met with fashion designer Sabyasachi, attended a
literary festival in Jaipur, had dinner with the Jaipur Royal family and
squeezed in a trip to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra!
In an interview with CNN/IBN Oprah said of her trip, “What I have learned is,
you can’t see India in a week.” “You can’t see India in two weeks …
India is so complex, I would have to say it’s the greatest show on Earth.
I have never seen anything like it. India, I’ll be back again and again.”
